Danville is a rural community, located in Vermont’s most natural and scenic countryside, where the state’s three Northeastern most Counties are known as the “Northeast Kingdom”. The region was given this nick-name in 1949 by Vermont Senator George Aiken, who during a visit exclaimed “This is such beautiful country up here; it should be called The Northeast Kingdom!” For information on the Northeast Kingdom please see: Northeast Kingdom Travel and Tourism Association
